Low Participation of Yemeni Women in the Political Process

Recently, it has been noted that Yemeni women's participation in the political process has declined than ever at a time the calls for women's participation in the political sphere are increasing. Yemeni women are shocked by the absence of women in the new coalition government between north and south Yemen. This prompted some to wonder whether the reason for decline of women in the political process is attributed to the poor outcomes of female activists in the political field in Yemen or it is related to the view of women's inferiority in a society that male chauvinism predominates; that masculinity is predominant even in the Arabic language.
